WE: XYO Network, the technology that brings the blockchain into the real world, has announced that it has been officially open XY Labs, an innovation center based in Carlsbad, California, for XY – The Persistent Company, parent company for XYO Network. The new office and the debut of the Innovation Lab are the latest in the growth and physical expansion of the company in the last year.
Since January, the company has grown from 17 employees to the current 76, with teams based at the San Diego office, a Northern California team based in Sacramento and now a third team focused on innovation at Carlsbad. The rapid growth of employees in all departments, including Engineering and Development, Operations and Marketing, strongly supports the aggressive approach of the company and the company roadmap.
Working from the company's new headquarters, the Carlsbad team will focus on more practical, simple and innovative use cases and on decentralized apps, or dApps, to use the cryptographic blockchain network that is XYO Network. Much of the initial focus will be on developing geographic dApps or location-based dApps. Faithful to the XY and XYO corporate culture, at XY Labs there is ample creative edge, time and freedom and a strong sense of responsibility in creating radical innovations that resist and add value.
The current employees who work at XY Labs have extensive experience in engineering and development, with a focus and experience in rapid prototyping, in device interaction, application development and the development of complete consumer products.
"We are excited to open XY Labs with our main team and we can not wait to see what's going on," said Scott Scheper, XYO Co-Founder and CMO. "This is where we expect to create some of the most impactful technologies and solutions that we, as an organization, bring to our community."
