On 6 August, an online retailer based on the cryptocurrency called Bitcoin Superstore announced that XRP was accepted by them as a payment method. Customers can now purchase over 200,000 online stores via XRP and five other cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin [BTC] Bitcoin Cash [BCH] Litecoin [LTC] Ethereum [ETH] and Dash [DASH] are already in use in the Bitcoin Superstore. Amazon, Walmart, Starbucks and Nike are the famous brands for gift cards available on Bitcoin Superstore.
In order to make the payment, users must first enter the product name, the URL of the site, the price of the product along with the shipping costs. The user is then transferred to the next page where the product is added to the cart where the user can then choose the form of payment such as cryptocurrency or fiat and can therefore be controlled.
A Twitter user with the name, chinazepplin commented on this saying:
"Great work! So basically anything at Walmart, Amazon, Starbucks, etc. Now it can be purchased with XRP through the Bitcoin Superstore platform."
Bitcoin Superstore's post caused a lot of enthusiasm and criticism, as many users were happy to hear the news. However, they also expressed concern that the company mistakenly used Ripple instead of XRP.
A Twittered named XRP.paris says:
"Although it's a nice initiative, even if you're kicking off very badly … @ Ripple is a company and $ XRP is the & # 39; digital asset to which you are referring. This must be clarified. You are accepting #XRP and not #Ripple. Thanks #XRPTheBase "
Another Twitter user said:
" I think it's great, however, please changes the title to "acceptance of XRP" because Ripple is a company, XRP is the digital asset / currency.Thank you. "
