DX.Exchange made a huge leap recently when it announced that it was tokenization of stocks and shares of companies like Tesla, Amazon, Facebook etc., but now announced that users can now exchange XRP with Bitcoin [BTC] and other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum [ETH], Litecoin [LTC].

DX.Exchange is a community-based exchange regulated by the Financial Intelligence Unit of Estonia [FIU]. Furthermore, it is said that the exchange uses the Nasdaq Matching Engine technology.

As per their tweet, January 6, 2019, the exchange had allowed to exchange cryptocurrencies like XRP, Ethereum [ETH], Bitcoin [BTC] and even Litecoin [LTC].

However, the articulation of their tweets raised many questions and caused confusion over whether XRP was used as a basic pair or not. The tweet also mentioned that registered members would be able to operate without commissions.

In addition, the tweet also mentions options for users to trade via Euro [EUR], JPY [JPY] and the US dollar [USD]. In a separate post, on the same day, the exchange declared:

"Trade @litecoin #LTC with #BTC, #ETH and #USD on http://DX.Exchange from get go! #Exchangeyourway"

DX.Exchange's Chief Operating Officer, Amedeo Moscato, clarified a user's question and said they would add Tron [TRX] to their list of trading pairs.

An @FinesseDLT user commented:

"The way this is written insinuates XRP quote combinations such as NFLX / XRP, AMZN / XRP in addition to XRP / EUR, XRP / JPY, etc.
Damn, I hope this is the case.

However, the exchange made clear in the subsequent comments that XRP was not a basic pair on the exchange.

A Twitter user @Alex commented:

"You really should add XRP as a base pair to stocks." The XRP community is huge and the list will get a lot of business in your own way. "

The exchange became the first exchange to tokenize the securities that could be purchased using cryptocurrencies, this news has made a big jump in the world of cryptocurrencies as many people were enthusiastic about this new development. However, the news also received a lot of criticism that questioned the legal framework of the exchange.

The tokenized stocks of the exchange will go live today and include cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin [BTC], Ethereum [ETH], XRP, Cardano [ADA], OmiseGo [OMG], Enigma, ShareToken and Digibyte [DGB].
