According to a recent announcement, the new title is currently being developed in-house on Unreal Engine, a game engine developed by Fortnite of Epic Games, which has been used successfully in a variety of other genres, including stealth, combat games, MMOs and role-playing games.
XAYA notes that "Project X" is functionally a combination of the following titles:
- Civilization
- EVE online
- Dunes 2
- Huntercoin
The initial screenshots released with the ad show an aesthetic similar to the terrestrial faction in the popular Spaceship franchise. The developers point out that the entire game, outside the front-end, will be open source and built entirely on the blockchain, which means gambling and integration of cryptocurrencies.
"We keep this problem a bit longer, but we should have more public details released in the coming weeks." We planned and designed this project for a couple of months and hoped to release the information, "XAYA added.
In addition to the nameless strategy game, XAYA reports it Soccer Manager Crypto (SMC) should enter closed beta before the end of January. The incoming game uses the same game engine as the popular Soccer Manager titles.
