Bars, restaurants and strip clubs in Windsor-Essex may resume normal hours.

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has confirmed that the region will follow the provinces updated the COVID-19 guidelines published on November 3. Liquor sales yes allowed only from 9:00 to 23:00 from 25 September to help prevent epidemics in social settings.

With Essex County currently under medium risk or “preventative” status, Dr Wajid Ahmed, chief medical officer of health, says bars and restaurants can now stay open and serve alcohol until 2am with immediate effect.

“Don’t misunderstand these easing measures with low risk probability, the risk continues to be medium for our community and that can change very quickly, “he added.” It is very important for these companies to make sure they take all appropriate precautions to keep their customers safe and their employees safe. “

  • Dancing, singing and music are allowed, with restrictions
  • Karaoke allowed, with restrictions (including non-private rooms)
