Why are women needed in the blockchain industry?

During the extraordinary period the question of the levels of participation of women in the blockchain industry emerged. Although, it seems, not everyone is fully in favor of targeting female demographics for inclusion in the crypto community. But the idea deserves to be taken into consideration because of the following reasons.

The new technology should not exclude 50% of the world

When the cryptocurrency came to light, the first promise was to bring censorship-resistant money to the world. The main principle of blockchain technology is its less nature permission. Therefore, why anyone should be able to use it is useful. Therefore, to leave out a huge proportion of the demographics that is equivalent to about half of the planet does not satisfy the first purpose.

Decentralized and allowed less technology is often served as a tool to help those who are undeserved by current institutions. In most countries, incommensurable women include the target group. In reality, female demography is the first goal.

The current population is predominantly male

Overtime, the major participants in the crypt were males. According to Google Analytics data, only 8.78% of Bitcoin users are female. This means that only a few women are in the community. It is always better to see it as a unique opportunity.

Participation of men in the STEM field

Looking at things, there is no reason why men have a higher percentage of the blockchain industry. If a possible reason is given, it would be because men have higher participation rates in the STEM fields. Although the blockchain industry is still in its foundational development phase, it attracts mainly STEM users.

Comparatively, more men show interest in cryptocurrency. But to succeed on a global scale, blockchain projects need marketing, sales, support, product development, market research and other related fields. Especially the fields that are useful for expanding to a consumer service stage. Many of them do not suffer from the STEM barrier in the demographic data that has so far involved the cryptocurrency.

Note, the best technology will always be developed by those who are connected to the problem they are trying to solve. So, trying to transform the world through decentralized technology, it would not be wise to exclude women.
