SpaceX intends to launch the sixteenth batch of its Starlink broadband satellites on Monday, a day after Elon Musk’s rocket organization actually sent a new NASA and European Space Agency satellite into orbit.
Upgrading a new group of its orbiting routers has become a matter of routine for SpaceX as it attempts to develop a mega constellation with large numbers of individual satellites in low Earth orbit. However, this mission is to put another feather on Musk.
The first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket is ready for the seventh flight, which would be a record for the reuse of the rocket for the organization. The promoter recently carried out four Starlink missions and a couple of larger telecommunication satellite launches.
SpaceX will likely attempt to land the promoter on a drone ship in the Atlantic soon after launch and may also attempt to get the two halves of the cone or fairing with another pair of boats.
This all occurs after SpaceX made another big launch on the opposite side of the nation. On Saturday morning, another Falcon 9 was launched from the Vandenburg Air Force Base in California carrying the new NASA / European Space Agency Sentinel 6 Michael Freilich satellite intended to monitor global sea level rise and improve weather forecasts.
Initially, the launch of Starlink was supposed to take place just ten hours after the take-off of the Sentinel 6 mission, however it was postponed for a few days.
