"There are many things Malta is doing that Silicon Valley can learn from"

Artificial intelligence has become a "natural" extension of Malta that embraces Blockchain technology, according to Goertzel, chief scientist of Hanson Robotics, who created Sophia the humanoid robot. Mr Goertzel and Sophia are present in the third episode of Lovin Blockchain.

"There are many directions that I think are clear, but which are the most sensible for Malta to prioritize the remains to be discovered," said Goertzel, who is also the founder and CEO of SingularityNet, who was nominated for the IA task force. of Malta.

Goertzel said it was good that Malta contacted international AI experts like SingularityNet to track the way forward.

His feelings have been taken up by a Maltese artificial intelligence entrepreneur, Angelo Dalli. He said that Blockchain and AI were "following the same pattern" of the gaming industry in Malta, "only at a faster pace".

Mr. Dalli said that IA was a particularly narrow field of study, but is now expanding both to the consumer and business markets.

"Everything that is laborious – it takes a lot of time – you will be able to automate it a little better," he said, noting that this had already been applied on a small scale with iPhones and virtual assistants.

Mr. Dalli warned that Malta would face many competitions around the world, but the island could continue to maintain power thanks to government support and the fact that it is "a beautiful island".
