With the future of supercar manufacturer Bugatti hanging by a thread, a test video of its new hypercar has appeared online.
The leak occurs a few days after the announcement of a new model appeared on the official website and on the company’s Instagram profile. The only photo of the X-shaped taillights was accompanied by a single comment: What if …?
The mysterious teaser contrasts with the rumors of a development break for the next Bugatti model. And there are rumors that point out that the group Volkswagen sells the brand to the Croatian company Rimac Automobili.
The new images have finally dispelled the doubts about the fate of the new hypercar on the French circuit of Paul Ricard.
A track car with a wild aesthetic
Although the vehicle is present in the registration, its camouflage cannot hide the wild shape of the coupe. Bugatti’s horseshoe-shaped grille is preserved, although it is smaller than before and sits on the edge of the front of the body.
Also surprising is one huge air intake on the roof which probably powers the engine behind the cabin. The X-shaped taillights draw attention to the huge quadruple tailpipe, under which a massive diffuser has been installed.
His name and technical details are not currently known. However, the Motor1 portal believes the new hypercar could be equipped with the Eight-liter four-turbine W16 engine from another Bugatti track car, the Chiron Super Sport 300+, with about 1,578 hp.
The new car should be officially presented on October 28, 2020.
