The first paper book on blockchain in Kenya was finally launched. The book, entitled "Understanding the Blockchain", was written by Benjamin Arunda, a blockchain enthusiast and researcher.
According to Arunda, the book took 8 months of hard work in research and writing. The gloss-cover book highlights 14 sectors in which blockchain is expected to cause interruptions. Some of these include:
- Government
- Insurance
- Health care
- Law
- Movie
- Production
- Education

Speaking during the launch, Justice Gatuyu, legal adviser to the Kenya Law Reform Commission, said:
"There will be a major overhaul with these new technologies.In general, industry will force players to adapt.The legal institutions should ensure that they teach how to regulate these technologies."

Gatuyu has encouraged young upcoming lawyers to create experience to become thought leaders in space.
Speaking of adoption and innovation, Pro. Njihia, Dean, School of Business, University of Nairobi, said:
"We need national policies based on and take action on them: a measurable and deliberate strategy for the adoption of technology is needed You also need to think at regional level and throughout Africa and involve the world in general. "

Even the President, Association of Construction Managers of Kenya, Nashon Okowa, has been very positive about the blockchain and its disruptive nature when it comes to building approvals, approvals of property titles and approval checks.

The new book will undoubtedly be a good foundation from which blockchain education in key industries can begin to take place, both in the boardroom and elsewhere.
