The VeChain Foundation has reached a new milestone today with interesting news announcing the first token coined with the VeChainThor blockchain (VET). In the Twitter announcement, the VeChain Foundation states :
We are thrilled to witness the first ecosystem token: OCE is now coined on the VeChainThor blockchain! The power of VeChainThor is just starting to show.

What exactly is OceanEx (OCE)?
OceanEx is an AI-based digital asset trading platform within VeChainThor Ecosystem. The platform uses AI technologies to provide an actively protected and ultra-liquid cryptocurrency trading market, full-scale quantitative trading capability and a rich set of investment instruments and products to meet a wide range of investment strategies from all types of investors.
As mentioned in the Tweet, the project is currently under WhiteListing for those who would like to participate in the VeChain Community Round. The minimum VET required to participate in the WhiteListing is currently 50,000 VET (approximately $ 695 with VET worth $ 0.013891).
Crowdfunding will be on the VeChainThor blockchain as mentioned above but will exclude residents from the countries of China, Japan and the United States. The project will therefore continue to be completely built on the VeChainThor blockchain.
Use of OCE tokens
The OCE token will be used in the OceanEx ecosystem and in future developments. The team listed the following scenarios as possible uses of OCE:
- pay for service fees such as: transaction fee, withdrawal fee, quotation fee, argo / fund deployment fee
- voting right in the pool of project lists
- the invitation to events and meetups for the quality community of OceanEx
- the access to our market research center of OceanLab
- subscribers and we use our tools to Developed trading and investment products like CryptoBento ™
- others in the future
OceanEx will list other coins and tokens in addition to those created through the VeChainThor blockchain via ICO. The team plans to perform due diligence before listing a digital asset on the platform. It is also planned to provide Fiat's exchange services to Crypto for many of the most important legal currencies.
