"The Syrian delegation does not speak of Tunisia but of the Arab League, which has suspended its activities," said the Tunisian presidential envoy in Lebanon to Zahir al-Qarawi al-Shabi. "Syria welcomes the return of Syria if the university raises the suspension".

Al-Shabi told journalists at the Beirut International Airport: "Tunisian President Béji Caid al-Sibsi gave his brother the Lebanese president Michel Aoun an invitation to attend the Arab summit in Tunis in May".

The Tunisian official has expressed the wish that the next summit is "a positive and good return for the Arab nation and, God willing, the summit of unification will not be anything else", he said.

Al-Shabi stressed that "the order of Syria does not concern Tunisia but the Arab League, which has suspended the Damascus activity in the university: if the university would lift the suspension, we will be very pleased that Syria will join the Arab nation ".

He added that "efforts are taking place in the Arab League and there are good signs in this matter, especially when a number of Arab countries have reopened the embassies in Damascus".

He stressed that "the atmosphere is appropriate for Syria to return to its natural place in the Arab nation, because Syria can not be outside".

He announced that the al-Sibsi President will participate personally in the Beirut Development Summit, which will be held this month.

Last month, Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir visited Syria, ending the Arab break with this country for eight years, while sources confirmed that Mauritanian president Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz will visit Syria by the end of next week .
