A McDonald’s restaurant in Toronto’s West End was temporarily closed after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.

The employee at the 10 Queensway office near High Park received the positive test on Tuesday, McDonald’s Canada said in a press release. The company immediately closed the restaurant for a thorough cleaning and instructed all other employees who were working with the infected person to isolate themselves.

“We are working to make sure we reopen safely, as we know our guests are dependent on their local McDonald’s,” the restaurant said.

The infected employee’s last shift was overnight from 11pm on November 8 to 7am on November 9. Anyone who has visited the restaurant during those hours should monitor symptoms for 14 days after exposure.
