Major Tim Peake revealed an unusual story about the time he thought he spotted a UFO during his time in space. In 2015, he became the first British European Space Agency astronaut to work aboard the International Space Station (ISS) and conduct a spacewalk. However, Mr Peake’s UFO story left ITV’s Good Morning Britain hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid howling with laughter.

Mr. Morgan said, “You thought you saw a UFO pass in front of you.

“You got all excited, to the point where you understood exactly what you saw.”

The astronaut said: “Absolutely. It was at the end of the mission, so I was pretty knowledgeable about what you should see and what you shouldn’t see in space.

“I saw three lights flying in formation during the day.”

He continued: “The only time you see a light in space during the day is if it’s another spaceship coming towards you.

“So I called my NASA teammate, Jeff Williams, and we took a look at this and we couldn’t fix it.

“Then we finally realized that it was the Russian urine that was leaking from the vehicle.

“It was crystallizing and reflecting the light on us, so it wasn’t quite the first contact experience we were hoping for.”
