The alarm system, which can display three different tones, will warn drivers not to forget the seat belt and to insert it correctly. The builder of Mlada Boleslav filed the file to patent this invention. The Czechs intend to reduce the number of people injured in road accidents.

When no one is in the place, the LED will emit a white light. A sensor detects the presence of a person and transmits the impulse to the security system. Therefore, a red light will warn passengers that the seat belt is not attached. When finished, the LED light turns green. They turn white again while driving, so as not to distract the driver.

The Czechs believe that this new alarm system will be particularly useful for parents. They will be able to easily see if the little ones have fastened their seat belts correctly or disengaged them while walking. The warning system is customizable through the multimedia system. Therefore, they can send an animated greeting, when they open the car, to become visible.

It is currently unknown when this system will be available on Skoda models.

Skoda, the company with the highest number of patents registered last year

Last year, Skoda filed no less than 94 patent applications. The Czechs say that no other company in the Czech Republic registered such a high number of patents in 2019.

On the Skoda list is a luggage storage system and some hollow fiber mats that hide dirt.
