The price of bitcoin fell by more than 10% during the trading session on Thursday, as the cryptocurrency wiped out most of its recent gains.
At 6:00 UTC, Bitcoin opened trading hours at a price of $ 4.018, but fell to $ 3.788 before the time was completed. After side trading until 4:00 pm UTC, the sell-off accelerated to a minimum of $ 3,570, according to CoinDesk's pricing data.
The current price of Bitcoin of $ 3,610 reflects a difference of $ 367 and a drop of more than 9% from the opening price of $ 24.99 of $ 3.995, the CoinDesk data reveal further.
In the last 24 hours, a total of $ 6.4 billion bitcoin has been traded through the stock exchanges while its total market capitalization has fallen by around 7% from $ 70 to $ 64 billion.
The broader market has accompanied bitcoin in its last dive as it usually happens when the bitcoin markets show weakness.
According to Coindesk's Crypto-Economic Explorer (CEX), 18 of the 19 cryptocurrencies tracked report double-digit 24-hour losses, with several write-offs falling due beyond 15% including litecoin (LTC), neo (NEO) and cardan (ADA) .
Today Cardano is the worst performer, currently it is printing a loss of 18%. At present, the total capitalization of the cryptocurrency market is $ 122 billion, down 10.2% on the day according to CoinMarketCap.
