The leader of Monero (XMR) Riccardo Spagni wields the soul of Ethereum (ETH), he calls it "Idiotic Idea"

Riccardo Spagni, better known as "fluffypony" in the world of cryptocurrency, is the main defender of Monero and lives in Plettenberg Bay. After spending many years developing software, he started a successful business in the import / export business with his wife, who gave him the freedom to tinker with Bitcoin at the start of 2011. Since then he did not look back at Spagni.

On Twitter, the crypt veteran criticized Ethereum when he responded to a tweet from Golem's chief strategy and security officer, Joanna Rutkowska. Just from a simple answer, the Tweet was followed by what is known as a Twitter rant to clearly explain his point.

Later in the thread, Spagni says that the way to run a decentralized secure system is to develop on things that have been established, and evidently robust. It keeps something like the Lightning Network on top of the bitcoin, and not the Ethereum. Spagni even goes so far as to say that the network is not decentralized because the development companies of Ethereum have all but two of the decentralized applications of the ETH networks.

In particular, this rant was triggered by a Twitter thread from Rutkowska who was thinking about finding out,

"The essential characteristics of The Ethereum (computer) vs. mere _implementation_ details."

Basically, Rutkowska asks if the start of a "traditional server in Earth's orbit" would be an equally valid Ethereum solution.

He later clarified his comments saying that it should not be seen as a project to replace Ethereum with satellites by Elon Musk but he described his observations as more of a mental experiment on the nature of Ethereum.

Spagni even says that he considers the whole idea of the smart contract to be infringed. He also says that most dApps currently do not solve the problems of the real world, but rather create a problem to find a solution.
