The rapper and actor Eminem has given a new impetus to the awareness of the bitcoin audience, citing it in a song from his latest album, "Kamikaze."
In song surnamed "Not Alike", fellow artist Royce Da 5 & # 39; 9 & # 39; – who guest features on the piece – raps:
"Remember that everyone used to bite Nickel, now everyone makes bitcoins."
The album was published at midnight on Thursday in a surprise announcement by Eminem, as reported. Its previous version was "Revival" in December 2017.
While the cryptographic quote is unlikely to beat the price of the bitcoin, it presents itself as the last reference of the mainstream entertainment industry to the top cryptocurrency for evaluation market.
The most memorable mentions, the chat-show host Ellen DeGeneres gave a humorous look at the cryptocurrency in her regular show in February. "Everyone talks about bitcoin," he said, but "nobody understands it"
He went on to say about bitcoin investors, "You'll be a millionaire or you'll be totally broke." A month later, John Oliver teased the bitcoin community and reminded viewers to take care of investing in his "Last Week Tonight" show. Grasping the headlines at the time, he compared the volatile price of bitcoins to a $ 15,000 Beanie Baby and said cryptocurrency was the game of chance, not the investment.
The rap industry helped to raise the cryptocurrency profile in ways other than registrations.
Rapper The 50 Cent move to accept bitcoin for his 2014 album "Animal Ambition" was reported in January for making it a cryptic millionaire, even though he denied having bitcoins in bankruptcy proceedings a month later.
And in March, Young Dirty, the son of the late rapper Wu Tan Clan, Ol & # 39; Dirty Bastard, was involved in the launch of a new cryptocurrency called Dirty Coin. The token was intended to help raise money for a forthcoming Youth Dirty album, as well as a means for fans to access shows and buy merchandise.
More recently, in May, Snoop Dogg has performed at an event in New York celebrating XRP, a cryptocurrency associated with the initiation of Ripple blockchain payments.
