Traki, the largest department store in Venezuela, accepts cryptocurrencies for the goods. The store supports Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Ethereum and Litecoin as acceptable forms of payment.
The mass adoption of cryptocurrencies in countries like Venezuela, where people are fighting hyperinflation, points out that troubled economies may be the first to move away from their collapsed fiat currencies in search of a new monetary system .
Aimed at millennials, young mothers and fashionistas, Traki calls himself "the favorite department store of the Venezuelans". The Ikea, Walmart and Forever 21, the trade giant sells fashion, footwear, accessories, household items and furniture with 10-storey locations.
The sales chain thrives in a "shop-till-you-drop" atmosphere with reduced prices and mega sales with 50% discounts on everything.
To spread the word about Crypto, Traki was published, which operates 50 department stores across the country dozens of tweets for all of October and November.
