Police in Italy used a Lamborghini to transport a life-saving donor organ over a distance of 480 km in about two hours.
The Lamborghini Huracan V10 supercar has been on loan to the Italian police since 2017 and is used to transport urgent medical deliveries when a helicopter is unavailable or unsuitable for emergency assignment.
The organs are stored in a refrigerated container placed in the nose of the Lamborghini Huracan.
Italian police recently posted such an example on their Instagram page, after a high-speed ride from Rome to Padua, covering the 480km journey in just over two hours door-to-door. NSW police (and police in other states) also use the highway patrol from time to time for urgent medical supplies. However, no one has a Lamborghini in the fleet.
