The health unit has announced a dozen new cases of COVID-19

Five of the current 108 cases are listed in the hospital.

THUNDER BAY – A dozen other cases of COVID-19 have been announced by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

The latest cases bring the district tally to 343 since March, with 108 considered active and 231 considered resolved.

Ten of the cases revealed are the result of surveillance testing of the residence and staff at Roseview Southbridge, where more than 60 people tested positive.

Two others are considered close contacts and the other two are in Marathon, as announced by the Marathon Family Health Team.

Five of the current cases are hospitalized, with one person referred to as being in intensive care.

A total of four people died from the virus in the Thunder Bay district.
