The French political deputies want to spend 500 million euros (about 569 million dollars) for blockchain operations at the state level in the next three years, according to reports from the local newspaper Les Echos on 12 December.
Citing a report released on Wednesday, the publication said that both the blockchain and the cryptocurrency interaction were at the top of the agenda of two members of parliament (MP), who are pushing the initiative forward in an attempt to make France a "Blockchain Nation". trying to play an active role in the promotion of Bitcoin mining in the country.
"2018 was the zero year for blockchain disclosure in France 2019 should be the year the ecosystem emerges," cites co-author MP Jean-Michel Mis who says:

The authors of the report also ask France to become a more attractive environment for miners.
Specifically, they wish to "recognize cryptocurrency mining as an electro-intensive activity", allowing private mining companies access to beneficial energy tariffs.
"We should have our mines in France," added Mis.
France continues to report mixed messages when it comes to cryptocurrency. Last month, the country's central bank did not approve a plan to allow thousands of tobacco kiosks to sell Bitcoin (BTC) from this January, although plans are still being approved.
Senior lawmakers have called for an international push to regulate industry, warning against heavy-handed approaches.
