A wildlife photographer captured a stunning image of a full moon passing through a rock arch in Utah that looks like a giant eye.

Photographer Zach Cooley captured the stunning image at Arches National Park in Utah on Halloween weekend on October 28th.

“I planned an entire vacation primarily around the fact that the moonrise would align with this arc and I could get something like a spooky eye in the week of Halloween,” he said on a social media post he drew. more than 17,000 likes.

The photographer said it took months of planning to get the perfect shot.

“For two nights I took some single shots and double exposures, I thought this was the best for the eye, what do you think?” he asked his followers.

“I love what you did here,” commented one follower with a pun.

“You have an eye for photography!” another said, to which the photographer replied: “Thanks, she’s not horny like that!”

Another follower said: “WOW !!! One of the best and most unique photos I’ve ever seen !!!”

“The planning for this shot was difficult and started several months in advance,” he said.

“Despite cross-referencing the moon’s position in multiple apps, there’s nothing close to guaranteeing you’ll be in the right place, just a few steps in any direction and you won’t get the shot.”

The photographer added: “I had never been so nervous about a photo as the moment approached, and never happier with the outcome of the planning when the moon appeared where I hoped and passed perfectly through the arch.”

Arches National Park has more than 2,000 natural sandstone arches on 76,000 acres.

The Delicate Arch, 16 meters high, is its most famous and widely recognized landmark in the state.
