However, as Microsoft has to admit, there is an unpleasantness when using the new Office apps that may irritate some users. As can be seen from a support document, the new versions of Word, Excel, Powerpoint or Outlook can be used on the latest Apple devices with silicon architecture and have also been optimized for the new MacOS 11 Big Sur operating system. However, there is a significant delay when the application is started for the first time, which can last up to 20 seconds, as the operating system must first generate code optimized for Silocon processors.
