The international organization also stressed the need for countries in the region to continue to carry out routine vaccinations against other diseases and to ensure equal access to a Covid-19 vaccine as soon as available, to avoid the catastrophe of other diseases.
The World Health Organization has indicated that more than 138,000 people have been infected and more than 6,000 have died of Corona virus infection in the Arab region, Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan, warning, in a statement yesterday, Wednesday, that the percentage of the population that has contracted the disease so far may also be small in the regions. As a result, most people will remain vulnerable to virus infection if physical distancing measures are loosened uncontrollably.
Coinciding with the welcoming of Muslims around the world for the month of Ramadan, which is characterized by religious and social gatherings, the performance of group prayers and family visits, the organization has issued recommendations for following the most important methods physical and mental health care during this month by maintaining physical distancing as an absolute necessity to prevent exposure to disease or its transmission to others.
