Oxygen as a poison
2.4 billion years ago, our entire planet resembled a poisoned pond in North Bohemia. There was a so-called major oxygen catastrophe. The single-celled bacteria, now called cyanobacteria, then developed photosynthesis.
This method of obtaining energy from solar radiation is used by green plants that grow in the nearest meadow, forest or field. From today’s point of view, actually boring.
