This is the maxim of many brands and in particular of Ducati, which is going through one of its worst financial moments in a long time and now has to come up with a project that could be in deep crisis. Now it’s the turn of one of the bikes that gave the best both in terms of sales and on asphalt for Borgo Panigale: The Ducati Streetfighter V4. This naked that was presented just a year ago has now presented its first package of novelties for 2021 and does so with a careful restyling and adaptation to the Euro5 legislation.
The Ducati Streetfight V4 is nothing more than a motorcycle without a fairing, specifically the Ducati Panigale V4. Following a “Fight formula”, this model has a high and wide handlebar and weighs 178 kg. Overall, this is a very competitive and surprising range, with a Desmosedici Stradale engine that has an output of 208 HP. To all this, Ducati worked hard to readjust it to the Euro 5 standard, making it have a lower torque than the previous one, reaching 123 Nm at 9,500 rpm.
To bring it into line with Euro 5 regulations, they made small changes to an extraordinary engine. On one side, aesthetically we find a silencer identical to the previous one, but has a longer catalyst (10 mm more). However, the big change lies in the technological innovation that characterizes Ducati so much. The Ducati Streetfighter V4 introduces a new noble metal impregnation technology, which is essential for maximizing the conversion capacity of polluting gases.
An extraordinary model
The new Ducati Streetfighter V4 has a “Front Frame” type aluminum frame. At the front it has a fully adjustable Showa BPF fork and two semi-floating discs along with Brembo Monobloc Stylema radial calipers. At the rear it mounts a fully adjustable Sachs monoshock together with a 245 disc and a 2-piston caliper with Bosch Comering EVO ABS.
In Ducati they have not rested and now this range also comes in a matte black color (Dark Stealth). The new Ducati Streetfighter V4 will go on sale in the next few days and its selling price is slightly higher than the previous model. Thus, the entry model, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 is priced at 22,190 euros, while the Ducati Streetfighter V4 S is priced at 25,790 euros.
