A supermarket chain located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Oásis Supermercados, has recently begun to accept crypto payments. Reportedly, the supermarket will accept Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin as a form of payment, as mentioned by Douglas Andrade, one of the managers of the company.
Andrade told the local point of sale Bitcoin portal that his brother Thiago was the only one who had come up with the idea of accepting encrypted payments. He explained how to do it after watching a video. Immediately after Oásis Supermercados called an encrypted exchange to get more information.
Reportedly, the supermarket chain has an annual turnover of $ 6.5 million and has about 90 employees, of whom 20 are cashiers. Andrade said that now everyone has been trained to accept encrypted payments.

The supermarket will accept encrypted by CoinWISE. It is a payment solutions company that transforms cryptocurrencies that they receive into reais three days after payment has been made.
However, no encryption was received because the system was only recently implemented. The news is slowly spreading, although some suggest that the supermarket should also start accepting other cryptocurrencies like NANO.
This comes a month after the Federal Department of Revenue (RFB) of Brazil has revealed that it will control the activities of the encrypted companies. It claims to try to prevent tax evasion and money laundering.
