The blockchain company more laps, which was created by Coin Sciences, recently decided to release the beta 2.0 version of its software. At the same time, the company announced that it has 40 new partners including companies such as SAP and HCL Technologies, two major technology companies.

According to the official announcement, MultiChain 2.0 will be an important update that had already been planned for a whole year. Its development began in August 2017 and it took more than 14 months for the product to be ready for this Beta launch.

The partner program of more laps now it has an incredible number of 86, which means that the company has practically doubled the number of partners.

MultiChain 2.0

The new version of Multichain will include many important updates to the system such as "smart filters", which are in some ways similar to smart contracts in only a few different aspects. They represent an original approach to intelligent contract technology and will have the expected characteristics as well as more structured data to be incorporated and indexed in the blockchain so that it is easier to manage.

This technology also has many elements in common with Rope and Ethereum of R3, but also significant elements that make it something new and unique.

The founder of MultiChain, Dr. Gideon Greenspan, also said that the chain has a complete feature of off-line data that was basically created to make life easier for developers when they need to develop them.

There will be two types of smart filters, those that can be used in transactions and flow filters. According to Greenspan, the stream filter will be particularly useful for data validation, so it will be perfect for when you have structured data and you want to make sure it is clean.

The transaction filters, on the other hand, are much better suited to creating niche financial systems, according to Greenspan. They are more malleable and suitable for products that require special logic.

The new partners

Now it's not just time to launch MultiChain 2.0, but the company has also partnered with many companies. One of the biggest partners is SAP, a giant German software company. It will offer the SAP Cloud service, as well as Hyperledger Fabric, to the company. SAP has over 335,000 customers in over 180 countries worldwide.

SAP's blockchain strategist, Raimund Gross, said he was interested in the partnership and that companies will achieve good results together. For example, MultiChain offers tracking and verification products for SAP and the company is already using blockchain technology to verify the authenticity of prescription drugs.
