Non-profit organizations will drive blockchain research and development through university grants and partnerships

Headquartered in Liechtenstein, the International Crypto Foundation will focus primarily on supporting research and development efforts in blockchain, cryptography and mathematics technology. To this end, it will begin to provide grants of up to one million francs, paid in cryptocurrency, to innovative projects deemed potentially capable of exploring and further proliferating the benefits of blockchain. The Foundation also aims to further enhance the global blockchain ecosystem by providing resources for the development of innovative ideas for decentralized applications and by promoting artistic and cultural initiatives in space. The grant program will expand on an ongoing basis in parallel with progress in the development of the project core and applications.
