The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) will discuss issues of financial sustainability in Arab countries and the experiences of Arab countries in the fourth annual meeting of Arab finance ministers, to be held on 9 and 10 January in Abu Dhabi.
Experts from the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the OECD will also participate.
The dott. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Humaidi, Director General of the Arab Monetary Fund, said that the meeting of the undersecretaries of the finance ministries of the Arab countries represents an important opportunity to exchange experiences and skills and further coordination on the development of financial policies and economic and financial reform efforts in Arab countries.
The meeting agenda includes a series of topics and working documents dealing with the support of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Arab countries, the development of social security systems to promote employment and the growth in Arab countries and the development of public debt management and strategies in Arab countries.
The meeting will also discuss the use of modern technologies to develop tax services, prepare the fourth high-level forum for public finances in the Arab countries to be held in Dubai, February 9, 2019, and prepare the tenth meeting of the Council of Arab Finance Ministers to be held in Kuwait at the end of April.
