The μTorrent Web, launched recently by BitTorrent, passes 1 million active users every day

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. – 4 October 2018 – BitTorrent, Inc., the company behind the most popular P2P protocol and communication products in the world, today announced that μTorrent Web has exceeded 1,000,000 active users every day. The company, which officially launched its web-based torrent streaming client last month, saw a rapid rise in the use of μTorrent Web in late beta through the full version. μTorrent Web helps users quickly download and play torrent files, including the wide range of licensed content available on BitTorrent Now.

Jordy Berson, BitTorrent's Chief Product Officer and COO, said this about the new milestone:

The company aims to end the year with new features, including the ability to stream files stored on the user's home computer on an Android device. Plans to launch BitTorrent Web, a similar product, will soon be available on bittorrent.com.
