Ten people, including a health care worker, tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox and Addington Public Health reported.

The health worker, who is 40, contracted him closely.

Three cases – two female and one male – were related to an epidemic, reported to public health, and all are 20 years old. A fourth positive case in her twenties is under investigation.

Three of the new cases were in the age range of 10 to 19 years. The two females contracted COVID-19 through close contact, while the male’s case is under investigation.

The last two cases – a woman in her fifties and a man in her seventies – were the result of close contact.

Three of the existing cases were resolved on Friday, which means the active number of cases is 26.

Other reports Friday said that an employee of the McDonald’s restaurant on Princess Street and Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard tested positive, as did two people linked to the Catholic school of Our Lady of Lourdes.
