SpaceX’s Starlink has reportedly started sending out beta invitations for its satellite internet service in Canada.
Reddit users revealed that invitations were sent to Canadians living in Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Saskatchewan.
The invitations say Starlink Internet will cost $ 129 per month in Canada and the dish costs $ 649. It is worth noting that Starlink Internet has unlimited bandwidth.

This is because Starlink recently received regulatory approval from Canadian authorities earlier this month. Starlink has gained a decent following in Canada, as residents living in rural areas hope the service can finally connect them at adequate speeds with reasonable prices.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk tweeted that there will be a “big expansion of the beta program in 6-8 weeks”, so it’s possible that more Canadians will receive invitations in the coming weeks.
The Starlink team noted in previous invitations that beta participants can expect to see data speeds vary from 50 Mbps to 150 Mbps and latency from 20 ms to 40 ms over the next few months.
SpaceX also recently launched a Starlink app for iOS and Android users. The app will help beta participants identify the installation location that would ensure the best quality of service and will also allow users to check for obstacles that may interfere with the service.
Starlink aims to leverage an extensive network of hundreds of low-orbit satellites (LEOs) to deliver high-speed Internet to parts of the United States and Canada.
