One of the leading management training institutes in India, SP Jain School of Global Management has announced the issue of a blockchain-enabled certificate to its students. This latest initiative for issuing blockchain-enabled certificates will help curb the threat of fake certificates.
The institute has released nearly 1,189 blockchain-based certificates, which now live on Ethereum's blockchain. Potential employers or authorities can directly verify certificates, student credentials and view student projects without the need to contact the institution.
At the end of the validator, the automatic validation of the blockchain in five steps is intuitive and does not require profound technical know-how. The institute stated in a statement:
"This will allow recruitment organizations and other competent bodies to validate the veracity of certificates issued to a student".
Nitish Jain, president of SP Jain School of Global Management, commented, digital certificates are future. "There have been several attempts globally to issue certificates on the blockchain, but so far no one has captured the entire certification life cycle"
He also stated that other student records, such as presence or other private data, are securely stored in the private blockchain of the institution and only certificates are made public on the Ethereum blockchain.
FinTech director of the institute, Vikram Pandya, said that by simply analyzing the QR code, the validator can verify the records without requiring the installation of any additional application. The system is developed in collaboration with Smart-Sense Consulting Solutions.
