Although it has been an inaccurate year for crypto in terms of price fluctuations, the number of Criptovaluta ATMs in the world has doubled to over 4,000 in 2018. Crypto prices could be faster and faster than manic depression, but the wider adoption is getting closer and closer.
The figures come from the data published by the Data Light cryptography analyst and show a massive upward trend in the installation of ATM machines for cryptocurrency this year.

Crypto ATM
One of the most surprising figures derived from Data Light statistics is that in 2018, six ATMs of cryptocurrency were installed on average. One of the main ingredients of broader cryptographic integration and adoption is the availability of cryptography for the masses and that is exactly what the increase in ATMs shows.
Some of the most interesting data in the statistics are those of the 4,051 ATMs with cryptocurrency currently in the world, almost all offer Bitcoin, while Litecoin is available at 2,421 and Ethereum is available in almost half of the machines. Dash is also available on 729 machines, which is very impressive.
Other scrambles like Zcash (67), Dogecoin (79) and Monero (128) also arrived with impressive figures showing that greater encrypted adoption does not revolve around the two or three major cryptocurrencies.
Looking at the chart, most ATMs were installed in the early months of the year, when Bitcoin prices were still relatively high after the monumental price increase in December 2017.
Other interesting statistics on ATM machines in 2018
Another great source for checking the ATM encryption statistics is on the Coin ATM Radar site. On their CRypto ATM map, they listed a total of 4,085 cryptocurrency counters worldwide in 76 countries.
The map shows that there are 1,258 Bitcoin ATMs in the United States and over 1,000 that support Bitcoin Cash. The combined total in North America adds up to 3,157 machines according to the website.
The United Kingdom has over 200 machines, while Central Europe reaches 750. South America too is not without weight in the encrypted ATMs, arriving with 65 machines. Australia is slightly behind South America with a total of 54 cars.
The vast increase in cryptocurrency counters in 2018 shows that more people than ever have begun to see crypto in terms similar to fiat currency, which is a great thing for the industry.
