The Blockchain companies Ripple, Fetch.AI, NEM, Emurgo and Cardano are now working together to create a new European Blockchain Organization, Blockchain for Europe.
Companies see the political debate taking place in fragmented Europe and want to promote understanding of the potential blockchain within the European Union.
Ripple's regulatory relations manager, Dan Morgan, said:
"This is a critical moment for policy makers in Europe as they seek to develop the right regulatory framework to reap the benefits of both digital assets and blockchain technology."

Fetch.AI Chief Technical Officer and co-founder Toby Simpson said:
"The convergence of technologies such as machine learning, AI and decentralized registries offers the opportunity for a world where technology works most effectively for the benefit of us all."
Co-founder and president of the NEM foundation, Kristof Van de Reck also commented:
"There is a lack of impartial information, especially when it comes to the open and decentralized application of technology, joining forces with different stakeholders who have blockchains at the core of their business, we aim to provide insights that do not they are adapted to the agenda of specific organizations or stakeholders ".
Manmeet Singh, CIO of Emurgo, agrees that intelligent legislation will give companies the chance to expand:
"In the ambit of Emurgo's mission to lead Cardano's adoption globally, we are very interested in working with the European institutions to create rules and regulations that will enable blockchain technology to thrive globally, expanding in this way the impact of our third generation blockchain, all under the guidance of the governance of the EU. "
