Ripple SVP introduces a new member into the UBRI community; cases of use of blockchain under exploration

Asheesh Birla, Ripple's Senior Vice President, Product, today posted a tweet about Ripple's quote and uses blockchain cases in Kevin Warten's new book – The Blockchain and the New Architecture of Trust. Here, Birla declared Warten as a member of the Blockchain Research Initiative of the University [UBRI] community in which it will explore cases of use for blockchain technology. SVP tweets said:

"Excited has arrived at the starting point: I took lessons from @kwerb @wharton and is now part of the @ Ripple UBRI community, taking into account interesting use cases for blockchain!"

In a recent Ripple blog, Warten, who is also an author and professor, law firm and business ethics at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, said that the real questions to ask when exploring cases of use are "It's a real and substantial problem to solve "o" Why a traditional technology will not solve the problem just as well, if not better? Subsequently, the author explained that the most accurate use cases are those associated with the cost of trust or that present a gap in trust between the co-dependent entities.
