The price of bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency in the world by market capitalization, jumped to 6.5% on Sunday to rise above $ 4000, the highest point in two weeks.

The CoinDesk data show that the price of bitcoin (BTC) increased to $ 262 on Monday at 17:10 UTC to $ 4,063, a move accompanied by a large volume injection.

At the time of printing, the bitcoin increased by 5.95% over the last seven days, recovering the losses recorded towards the end of December.

The market capitalization of Bitcoin also increased substantially, with an increase of $ 4 billion a day to $ 70.73 billion, the highest point since December 25. The move marks an expansion beyond the annual low of $ 3,650 and an opportunity for bulls to push forward this week, based on current price and momentum action.

However, bitcoin is only one of the many cryptocurrencies that enjoy a strong upward momentum with litecoin (LTC), NEO (NEO) and Cardano (ADA) leading the first 25, up respectively by 12.16, 10, 6 and 9.11%.

The total market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies increased by $ 6.1 billion compared to yesterday's first $ 132 billion and is currently just above the $ 138.1 billion shown by the CoinMarketCap data.
