Concerned about the prolonged slowdown in exports, the government announced a “ commercial digital transformation plan ” aimed at achieving $ 2 trillion in trade and promoting 200,000 exports in the medium term by 2030 through the “ 3rd coordination meeting of the extended trade strategy ” hosted by Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun. done.

The meeting was organized to focus on resuming export vitality at the end of the year in a situation where recent exports must continue the momentum of improving exports since September due to the re-proliferation of Corona 19.

The “Measures for the digital transformation of trade”, jointly prepared by the relevant ministries, contained measures to diversify export markets, items and commodities through the massive digital transformation of Korean trade and the innovation of the commercial structure.

The Ministry of Industry and Industry will functionally integrate three B2B platforms such as BuyKorea (KOTRA), GoBizKorea (Medium Vacuum) and TradeKorea (trade association) as an important task for the next year and expand online exports such as globalization through cooperation strategic with Amazon and Alibaba. As a way to promote digital-based global exhibitions, a plan is also prepared to secure world-class O2O exhibition capabilities at 7 major industry trade shows, such as electronics and bio, using industry online exhibition platforms as a marketing hub.

As part of the follow-up measures, the Ministry of Industry and Industry established a cooperation system with KOTRA, Heavy Vacuum and Korea International Trade Association and signed a trade agreement to support trade finance.

First, it is planned to strengthen competitiveness by urgently reorganizing the product information and transaction support functions for each of the three platforms by strengthening competitiveness in the first phase and by functionally integrating the three platforms through the integrated second phase portal.
