Suspicions of Foul Play
The buzz of Chinese netizens is that they are suspicious of the dirty game, although nothing has been confirmed. Some were trying to find links between Zhang's death and recent China-US relations. There is a possible investigation by the US government under section 301 of the United States Commercial Law in the capital Danhua of Zhang which kicked off these rumors.
However, family representatives denied these claims by saying, "There is no truth in this uninformed speculation".
