Predictable significant snowfall: Environment Canada

[ad_1]

WEATHER WARNING
CANADA ENVIRONMENT
*************************
Special weather declaration in force for:

  • Guelph – Erin – South Wellington County
  • Kitchener – Cambridge – Waterloo Region
  • Mount Forest – Arthur – North Wellington County

Heavy snow is expected from Sunday to Sunday night.

The snow should start on Sunday morning.

5 to 10 cm of snow is possible before the snow thins overnight.

An exception will be areas near Lake Ontario where the snow will be very wet. This should preclude significant accumulations in areas near the lake.

The trip is expected to be impacted by moderate to heavy snow. Motorists should be prepared for the driving conditions of the winter weather.

This is the result of a Colorado Low that will follow from Ohio to the St. Lawrence River Sunday through Monday.

There is still some uncertainty in driving the model regarding the exact track of the low and heavier snow axis. We will continue to monitor the situation and update special weather statements as more recent data becomes available.

Continue to monitor the alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report adverse weather conditions, please email [email protected] or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
