The Melbourne Museum will soon become home to one of the most significant dinosaur discoveries ever made.
A 67-million-year-old adult triceratops, the most complete specimen ever found, will be on display next year.
The Rumor File was informed of the exciting arrival in February.
Museums Victoria’s senior paleontology curator Dr. Erich Fitzgerald says the fossil, which is more than six meters long, is 87 percent complete.
“There are at least 275 skeletal bones that have been identified,” he told Neil Mitchell.
“There may be even more because the final cleaning of the rock around the bones is happening as we speak.”
