Now you can extract Ethereum from your laptop

You probably read quite a bit about the cryptocurrency extraction, but you never thought about doing it. I, for example, I do not know where to start. The process is highly technical and, for popular currencies, it requires a greater expense in terms of calculation energy than what is actually obtained. And who even has access to such heavy computing hardware?

A new company called Coinmine wants to simplify the process. The launch – supported by Coinbase Ventures along with other well-known investors – today launched its first device: the Coinmine One. It does exactly what you think, which is my cryptocurrency.

Coinmine One looks like a slightly larger external hard drive. It connects to personal computers to more easily automate the mining process and is controlled by a & r; mobile app. The device presumably uses less power than a PlayStation and currently costs $ 799.

The general idea behind Coinmine is to make a point of access more accessible in the world of cryptocurrency. People can read about the industry in every financial publication, but few have participated in this, perhaps buying some bitcoins or Ethereum.

Since bitcoin has become so omnipresent (which is why it is literally destroying the earth), Coinmine One is not powerful enough for mine. But he is able to extract other famous cryptocurrencies, including Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Monero and Z-Cash. Coinmine also created an operating system that allowed others to add new cryptocurrency networks. Essentially, this is a simpler way for users to get new ones that might come out in the future. But do not expect me to help you get rich with the already popular coins.

Second Fortuna, the problem is that the device stores what is extracted on its servers and then undergoes a cut of 5%. For hard-core crypto-currents, they will probably not fly. But the device is not made for them. It is more for the person who wants to dip the toe into the fast growing cryptocurrency world for the first time, so a device that does a little heavy lifting and a cut might not bother you.

Coinmine is currently taking preorders. You can learn more here.
