"Netflix for cryptomining" is worth 47 million pounds after the London Stock Exchange debut


A cryptocurrency company made history after becoming the first digital coin mining company to be listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Argo Blockchain, who is based in London but runs his service from a data center in Canada, raised £ 25m after his debut, giving it a valuation of £ 47m.

The company extracts digital coins on behalf of monthly subscribers using a model similar to Spotify or Netflix. This means that people with little technical skill and without the right tools to create a mining platform can still earn from the Bitcoin craze by creating an account on the Argo website or smartphone app.
