NASA’s Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich satellite was recently launched with SpaceX’s Falcon 9 from California on November 21. It is now up and running to orbit the planet with the web-based “Eyes on the Earth” app to monitor. The app provides real-time updates and 3D visualization of Earth’s orbit conditions and tracks current sea level conditions.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) invites people to follow Sentinel-6 and view its progress as it continuously circles the Earth and remains in orbit to carry out its only mission. Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich is a spacecraft made explicitly to monitor Earth’s sea levels and detect any changes that could be alarming.
The US-European probe is one of NASA’s most critical missions this 2020 due to its technology which aims to provide experts, researchers and scientists with enormous data. The data collected serves to understand the current global sea levels, which the researchers believed to be decreasing every day.

NASA offers a three-dimensional visualization monitoring application available via the Internet and web browser. This application provides real-time tracking and progress of Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich, along with interactive labels of the celestial bodies it passes through.
The spacecraft’s satellite can also be viewed in detail thanks to the instruments that allow it to be examined, showing the instruments mounted or designed with its body at any angle. The web app provides the satellite’s real-time position above the Earth.
Another unique tool is “fast forward” into the future and sees the entire mission of Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich. This feature will allow users to see the five-year mission in less than a few minutes. Additionally, the satellite tracker also offers other spacecraft to view, with Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich as the latest addition.
You can access the Eyes on the Earth application directly on the NASA website or via this link. NASA also offers the “Eyes on the Solar System” app, which can put satellites side by side, especially those assigned to the orbit of other planets or cosmic elements.

According to NASA, Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich is a mission that was set five years apart, with another identical sea level monitoring satellite in Earth’s orbit last 2015. Additionally, Sentinel-6 is currently continuing work Jason-1, Jason-2 and the Jason-3 mission, which were the initial technology for sea level monitoring.
Additionally, NASA’s Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich satellite is equipped with another function that monitors temperature and water vapor through its radio occultation instrument from high-resolution vertical profiles. The five-year launch of the satellite helped make way for new technologies to help scientists predict numerical weather forecasts.
