Manitoba Public Insurance will return $ 69 million to taxpayers, which averages $ 100 per customer, Crown Services Minister Jeff Wharton announced at a press conference on Monday.

The refund does not affect MPI’s request to reduce customer rates next year. The Utilities Council is expected to set an average rate cut of 8.8% this month, which represents a savings of approximately $ 110 per customer.
