Monitoring page of the development of the Bitcoin Cash protocol
The analytical website Dance of the coin added much more details to the site development section. The development of the Bitcoin Cash protocol tracking page Expands a list of development discussions, proposals and code currently under development. For example, there are currently 12 foreground concepts "under development" by groups of developers who help the BCH protocol to thrive. Group developers like the developers of Cashshuffle, Bitcoin ABC and Bitcoin Unlimited (BU) have all contributed to more mature ideas.
According to Coin Dance statistics, the 12 features under development include UTXO commitments, modified pricing structure, enabling of Schnorr signatures, restoring additional opcodes, adding compact blocks, Graphene version 2 and more. The website data describes how the functionality does as Graphene v2 adds much more functionality to the first phase of graphene.
In another case, the Coin Dance documentation describes the Compact Blocks protocol of Bitcoin Unlimited. "Supporting the CB in the BU would strengthen the connections between the peers of the BU and the rest of the network, without having to rely on intermediates," explains the BCH development tracking page. In addition, the site offers users a link on where they can read more information specifically related to each concept.
Optimization, privacy, scalability and compatibility or less
The tracking page further details there are 14 developments of the Bitcoin Cash protocol under discussion. This means that the BCH programmers have simply talked about the idea, but no one in particular is developing the specific concept. The features discussed include Bobtail, one way aggregate signatures, representation token (GROUP), avalanches, BLS signatures and more.
All the features that Coin Dance has listed, whether they are discussed or under development, also explain the underlying purpose of each improvement. Each concept has a small icon in the upper left corner of the window frame and a popup window shows the intentions of the features. A fingerprint icon says "the purpose of this proposal is to improve security". Other icons include usability, extensibility, optimization, privacy and resizing. In addition, the icons at the top right explain if the concept is "not compatible backwards".
If anyone is interested in what's going on with the development of Bitcoin Cash, you'll probably appreciate the development tracking page. Coin Dance still has its other data set sections that include the BCH protocols nodes, extracted blocks, hashrate, policy, opinion, mining profitability, and a section where BCH users can create vanity addresses. In the Bitcoin Cash protocol development section, enthusiasts and researchers can also see the completed progress that occurred during previous updates.
