Monero revealed on Reddit and Twitter that Fortnite will use Monero as the exclusive cryptocurrency payment option for the Fortnite merchandise store.
Fortnite took over the gaming world in 2018 with over 40 million people playing every month. The game is free, but you can buy online add-ons for your characters and this customization has made millions of dollars from Epic Games. The purchase of assets through cryptocurrency is provided by Retail Row and its partnership with GlowBee. This service allows retailers to accept important cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Litecoin, XRP and XMR. Why did they become an exclusive cryptocurrency for the online store? Nobody really knows. One can easily sense that there must be a friendship or a connection between the two.
