Hyundai Motor Company is carrying out a recall process to update the battery management system (BMS) for Kona electric vehicles manufactured prior to March 13, 2020 from last month’s 16th. If a problem occurs even after the battery management system (BMS) update, the battery is replaced.

In response, Kona owners demand that the entire battery pack be replaced, stating that the BMS upgrade that Hyundai is currently conducting cannot fundamentally solve the battery fire problem. Landlords who have prepared a class action through the Internet community are also recruiting second degree applicants by the 30th of this month.

In response, Hyundai Motor Company said: “We have not yet been served with the director, but if confirmed, we will act accordingly.”
